Audrey Warner is Counsel to McLauchlin & Associates. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995.
Prior to joining McLauchlin & Associates in 2007, Audrey was a Partner in the construction law section of a large multi-service firm in Toronto. For most of 22 years, Audrey’s practice has focused predominantly on construction litigation, representing owners, developers, contractors and subcontractors. Audrey also represents architects and engineers in the area of professional negligence.
Audrey’s practice centres on developing innovative strategies to resolve construction lien claims, general contract review and claims, negligence claims and delay claims. Throughout her practice, Audrey reviews construction contract documents and provides general advice to clients with respect to contract administration. In addition, Audrey frequently reviews, negotiates and drafts Requests for Tenders and Proposals.
Audrey has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all areas of construction litigation. This includes drafting pleadings and other materials, mediation, discovery, settlement negotiations, motions and trials. She has appeared at all judicial levels in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal. Audrey has prepared and presented various papers in the area of construction law and has published articles in numerous publications.
Audrey is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association (Construction and Infrastructure Law Section), and the Toronto Construction Association. Audrey also maintains a Martindale-Hubbell rating of BV Distinguished, indicating a legal ability rating of high to very high and a general ethical standards rating of adherence to professional standards of conduct and ethics, reliability, diligence and other criteria relevant to the discharge of professional responsibilities.
